On
June 7th, 2007 Dovlet Nurgeldiyev sang for Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of
the Netherlands and Cynthia Wilson of WWClassicsonline wrote
the following:
" Tenors have always had an air of royalty about them : Count
Caruso,
Earl Domingo, and of course Pavarotti, Prince of Padua. Enter our new
royalty, Dovlet Nurgeldiyev, a mere 29 yet already a tenor of warmth,
amazing strength and stage presence. Dovlet is a natural born tenor who
in both presence and sound easily filled the unflattering
palatial acoustic with grace and magnificence. Never overdoing anything
he has mature taste at an early age."
Fenton in
Falstaff with the Hamburg Staatsoper :-
"Musically
(Conductor : Simone Young) and
vocally (outstanding: Dovlet Nurgeldiyev)
superior."
